Sunsets in Bulgaria are usually fantastic red settings, but this night the sky looked ablaze. It really looked as though the sky was on fire! Red sky at night Suzi's delight I thought to myself. How wrong I could be!
For this fiery sky was a warning of a storm on its way over from the northern Greek mountains.
The rain, huge hail stones and high gusty winds came at around 3am.
By the morning time, the storm had only increased its power and intensity. Although the fantastic red sky at night had obviously disappeared the storm reflected the fire of the night before!
The red and pink coloured clouds had totally surrounded the Bulgarian hilltop and here's a few of the photos I managed to capture!
