a journey taken in a Toyota Hilux Surf 2.4 TD with a 26ft caravan in tow!
We had pre-booked our eurotunnel tickets we reserved them online before we set out on our journey to Bulgaria. We had arranged a 9.30pm ticket to cross via the Channel Tunnel into France but arrived 3 hours early! We had chosen the 9.30pm crossing as it was half price. When we arrived at the automated check in kiosk and entered the relevant credit card used to make the booking, the computer screen offered us an earlier crossing, at the same cost and it was leaving in just 20 minutes!
We drove straight to the allotted lane and waited for the red light to turn green, we were the only car in the line!
We then drove down to the entrance of the euro train and was guided onto the train. The train is very long and we had to drive right to the front of the train, there were two vehicles in front of us an it felt as if we were going to be driving all the way to France!
The inner security doors were closed and our journey to Bulgaria had begun.

The exit when you reach France where you drive up and over the metal bridge and onto the roads in France. The first thing that greets you in France is a well signposted sign and some space invaders!
